San Ritual began with a simple thought- the beauty rituals I grew up with in Korea deserved to be shared more thoughtfully with the world.
In Korea, beauty was never only about appearance. It was about care, consistency, nourishment, and small daily rituals passed through generations. Ingredients like rice, mugwort, ginseng, camellia, and fermented botanicals have been used for thousands of years. Once in royal courts, they were later brought into everyday homes as acts of self-care and wellbeing.
I created San Ritual to bring these traditions into modern life in a way that feels slow and honest.
The Shell & Lacquer Collection was created from that same philosophy. Inspired by the depth and craftsmanship of traditional Korean lacquerware and mother-of-pearl artistry, each piece reflects the beauty of patience, texture, and imperfection. In Korea, lacquerwork was once treasured in royal households for both its durability and artistry- objects made not only to be used, but to be kept, cared for, and passed down.
We believe beauty rituals should feel grounding, sensory, and deeply personal- something that becomes part of the way you live.
